앱토스는 2022년 Meta(구 Facebook)의 중단된 블록체인 프로젝트 Diem(Libra) 출신 개발자들이 설립한 레이어 1 블록체인입니다. Diem에서 개발된 Move 프로그래밍 언어를 계승하여, 리소스 지향 프로그래밍을 통해 자산의 이중 사용이나 의도치 않은 소실을 구조적으로 방지합니다. Aptos is a new, independent high-performance PoS Layer 1 project focused on delivering the safest and most scalable Layer 1 blockchain in the world. The Aptos blockchain leverages the Move programming language and the Move VM for application development, which are created and optimized for blockchain use cases.The team is comprised of the original creators, researchers, designers, and builders of Diem, the blockchain that was first built to serve this purpose. Aptos raised $200m from a16z, Multicoin, Binance and others. Aptos launched Devnet in mid March, incentivized testnet in late May and targets Q3 for mainnet launch.
